Franklin Templeton Shootout's Shark Club Sells Out

NAPLES, Fla. -- Memberships to The Franklin Templeton Shootout's Shark Club, an exclusive air-conditioned hospitality venue available to both corporate and individual purchasers, are sold out for the third straight year. The two-story enclosed Shark Club overlooks the 18th green of Tiburón Golf Club for the November 12-16 event.
Due to overwhelming demand, the tournament office has started a wait list for Pro-am and volunteer opportunities.

Naples and Fort Myers residents have once again displayed support for the tournament through its substantial volunteer base. All 200 volunteer positions are filled, mostly by returning personnel from the 2001 and 2002 Franklin Templeton Shootouts.

Also, all Pro-am spots have been filled for the third consecutive year. The tournament office has started a wait list for Pro-am and volunteer opportunities.

"This is another wonderful response from the community in support of the tournament," said Tournament Director Taylor Ives. "The Shark Club continues to be a very popular ticket option for local residents as well as businesses.

"The two-day Pro-am event, generally regarded as one of the best on TOUR, is one of the highlights of tournament week. We do have several other options for corporate and private purchase remaining and of course general admission tickets are still available."

The PGA TOUR sanctioned event will again provide world-class golf to Southwest Florida by bringing together 24 of the greatest names in the sport competing as two-man teams. Tickets may be purchased by calling The Franklin Templeton Shootout office at (888) 66-SHARK (74275) or online at Shop@Shark.com. [http://sharkshop.site.yahoo.net/frtesh.html]

The Franklin Templeton Shootout was founded in 1989 as a result of Greg and Laura Norman's desire to raise money and awareness for children's charities and create a unique experience for PGA TOUR players.

Thanks to the support and loyalty of Merrill Lynch and other corporate sponsors, event volunteers and fans, The Franklin Templeton Shootout has contributed millions to children's charities.

The 15th annual event again will donate a significant portion of the proceeds to the National Childhood Cancer Foundation to assist its battle against this terrible disease.
