Fredrik Jacobson Withdraws, Amateur Champion Ryan Moore In For 17th Annual Franklin Templeton Shootout

NAPLES, Fla. (November 7, 2005) - Fredrik Jacobson withdrew from The Franklin Templeton Shootout today and will be replaced by Ryan Moore, winner of the 2004 U.S. Amateur title. Moore will join 23 other players as the Shootout returns to Naples for the fifth consecutive year November 9-13.

Moore will be paired with Jesper Parnevik. Jacobson withdrew from the Shootout due to the illness of his father-in-law, who resides in Sweden.

Moore's U.S. Amateur victory last year was a piece of one of the greatest amateur seasons. He also won the NCAA Individual Title and the U.S. Public Links crown-- marking the first time since 1949 an individual had won all three in the same year. Moore joins Jason Gore, Kirk Triplett and Tim Herron as newcomers to the $2.6 million Franklin Templeton Shootout.

Tickets for the $2.6 million event are currently on sale and orders can be placed three ways: by calling 888-66-SHARK or visiting Alf's Golf Shop in Naples. One Weekly Pass, which includes five individual daily tickets for Wednesday-Sunday action, is available for $60.

You can purchase a daily grounds ticket in advance for $15 on Wednesday or Thursday and $20 for Friday through Sunday. A limited number of reserved seats on Tiburón's 18th green are available for $50 per day. Reserved seats are only available by calling 888-66-SHARK. Children 12 and under will be admitted free with a ticketed adult.
