| Harris English & Matt Kuchar Win In Record Fashion |

NAPLES, FL. (December 15, 2013) - Matt Kuchar and Harris English ran away with the Franklin Templeton Shootout, shooting a 14-under 58 on Sunday in the final-round scramble to break the tournament course record of 33 under.
Kuchar and English finished at 34-under 182, playing their last 28 holes at Tiburón in 25 under. They opened with a 64 on Friday in modified alternate-shot play and had a 60 on Saturday in better ball.
The duo beat Retief Goosen and Fredrik Jacobson by seven strokes, matching the tournament record for margin of victory set by Curtis Strange and Mark O'Meara in 1989 in the inaugural event.
"It was a fun week," Kuchar said. "This is one of my favorite events of the year. I wish we could more team events. I realize during the year, that's difficult but to mix up the formats and have a partner here is just a lot of fun. It's nice to perform well."
Kuchar and English each earned $385,000 for their efforts.
"It's such a relaxing event," Harris said. "It's really cool being part of this event."
Goosen and Jacobson closed with a 61, but had little chance to catch the winners.
"It was unbelievable, quite an exhibition," Jacobson said. "Both guys were putting well and they're solid ball-strikers, so we knew we had to pick up the pace. But they played so well, there's not much you can do about it."
Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter had a 59 to finish third at 26 under, and Chris DiMarco and Billy Horschel were fourth at 24 under after a 60.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary and 13th year at Tiburón Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples, the 2013 Shootout featured 6 of the top 25 ranked players in the world, seven PGA TOUR winners in 2013 and six Major Champions.
In addition to exciting golf, the 5th annual Franklin Templeton Shootout 5K presented by Greg Norman Estates was held on Saturday morning of tournament week. More than 450 runners enjoyed the fun filled morning of exercise and competition --- all for a great cause, CureSearch for Children's Cancer!
Over the past 25 years, the Franklin Templeton Shootout is proud to have raised more than $12 million for a variety of worthy charities!

Franklin Templeton Shootout 5K

In the 5th annual Franklin Templeton Shootout 5K presented by Greg Norman Estates, 19 year old Naples resident, Carlos Miranda, sprinted to the finish line as he took home the overall title with a time of 15:57. In the female division, Devin Molloy captured victory with a time of 19:44.
In the Grand Master's category, Greg Gabriel (19:43) and Sandi Davies (23:34) were the top finishers.
This annual Shootout tradition welcomed more than 450 runners who competed on a self-contained course within the Tiburón Golf Club community. Each runner received a daily grounds ticket to the Franklin Templeton Shootout and a t-shirt. Proceeds from the race once again benefited CureSearch for Children's Cancer.

On Friday, December 13th at 4:00pm, 25 contestants walked out to the 18th fairway at Tiburón with a chance to win $1 million! As Tournament Host Greg Norman looked on, each contestant took one (1) shot from 150 yards with the hopes of making a hole-in-one. Unfortunately, no hole-in-ones were made but Dustin DeCoteau was the recipient of our closest to the pin grand prize package!

The Summer Series is an exciting summer-long event where you and your partner will experience elements of competition similar to the PGA TOUR's Franklin Templeton Shootout at six of the finest golf clubs in Southwest Florida.
The events are a two-person team competition that will take place once a month at select partner course. During each tournament round, players will compete in the same formats featured during the Franklin Templeton Shootout - palying six holes of Modified Alternate Shot, six holes of Better Ball and six holes of Scramble. Events will take place once a month May through October.
