| 24-Player Field is Set for Franklin Templeton Shootout |

Two More First-Time Participants Added to the Field
NAPLES, FL. (October 31, 2013) - The 24-player field for the 25th Franklin Templeton Shootout was finalized today with a pair of players who enjoyed success in 2013 committing to compete. The Shootout, one of the longest-running and premier post-season PGA TOUR events, returns for the 13th year to Tiburón Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples, December 9-15.
Graham DeLaet, who finished 8th in the FedEx Cup, and Jonas Blixt, who has won in each of his first two seasons on the PGA TOUR, were the final two players announced by tournament officials today. Also, Stewart Cink has withdrawn and will be replaced by five-time competitor Chad Campbell.
The addition of DeLaet and Blixt, both ranked among the top 40 of the Official World Golf Rankings, means five players will be competing for the first time in the Franklin Templeton Shootout. These two join Retief Goosen, Billy Horschel and Lee Westwood as first-time participants.
"We are always excited to introduce players to the Franklin Templeton Shootout for the first time," said Taylor Ives, Tournament Director. "Both Graham and Jonas have performed consistently well throughout the PGA TOUR season and we look forward to having them complete their year at the Shootout."
DeLaet, in just his third year on the PGA TOUR, finished in the top 25 in 12 of the 26 events he entered this year. Among his seven top-10 finishes, were a pair of thirds and a tie for second at The Barclays. The Canadian also played for the International Team in his first Presidents Cup last month and tied Jason Day as the team's leading point earner with a 3-1-1 record.
Blixt earned his first PGA TOUR victory a year ago at the Frys.com Open and added his second this July at The Greenbrier Classic. In his first two years on TOUR, the Sweden-born player has accumulated over $4 million in earnings. Blixt's addition to the field means seven Shootout participants combined to win nine events on the 2013 TOUR schedule.
The 12 two-man teams are expected to be announced next week.
Throughout its history, the Franklin Templeton Shootout has included many of golf's greatest players. The Franklin Templeton Shootout will once again feature a modified alternate-shot format during the first round, a better ball Saturday and a final-round scramble. This year, Golf Channel will televise Friday and NBC will broadcast the weekend competition.

The next 50 runners to register for the 5K between now and November 10th will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card to the Boston Beer Garden!
Shark Shootout Charities is excited to host the 5th annual Franklin Templeton Shootout 5K presented by Greg Norman Estates! The 5K will commence on Saturday morning of the tournament and finish prior to the start of play. Participants will compete on a self-contained course within the Tiburón Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort community. Proceeds from the race will benefit CureSearch for Children's Cancer.
