The 2009 Presidents Cup was held last weekend, October 6-11 at Harding Park Golf Course in San Francisco, California. Competition was fierce throughout the week in this biannual match-play event, with the United States emerging victorious over the Internationals, 19.5 points to 14.5.

Always gracious in defeat, International Team Captain Greg Norman was pleased with his team's effort, commenting afterwards, "From my perspective it was a great week...I know each and every one of these guys gave 101 percent of their concentration and their effort and their willingness and their desire to win The Presidents Cup."

Norman and U.S. Team Captain Fred Couples enjoyed the friendly rivalry throughout the week, and will now turn their attention to working on the same team for a change, when they compete together in the 2009 Shark Shootout. Other Shark Shootout participants who played in the competition from the U.S. Team included: Steve Stricker (4-1-0), Kenny Perry (1-3-0), Zach Johnson (2-3-0), and Justin Leonard (2-1-2).
