Naples, Fla. - The Franklin Templeton Shootout, the long-standing and popular PGA TOUR event held at Tiburón Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples has announced the inaugural Shark Shootout Summer Series. This exciting summer-long event will allow participants to experience elements of competition similar to the Shootout at five WCI golf courses, considered to be some of the finest golf facilities in Southwest Florida.
The Summer Series is a two-person team competition that will take place once a month at WCI golf courses including Pelican Preserve Golf Club; The Colony Golf & Country Club; Raptor Bay Golf Club; Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club and Tiburón Golf Club. During each tournament round, players will compete in the same formats featured during The Franklin Templeton Shootout; playing six holes of Modified Alternate shot, six holes of Better Ball and the final six holes of Scramble. Events will take place once a month June through October and points will be awarded which qualify players for unique prizes from PGA TOUR Superstore and WCI including the opportunity to have unprecedented access during The Franklin Templeton Shootout December 5-11. The series will feature both a Net and Gross division.
