The Franklin Templeton Shootout Summer Series is Back!
The 2nd Annual Summer Series is an exciting summer-long event where you and your partner will experience elements of competition similar to the PGA TOUR's Franklin Templeton Shootout at six of the finest golf clubs in Southwest Florida.
The Summer Series is a two-person team competition that will take place once a month at select partner courses. During each tournament round, players will compete in the same formats featured during the Franklin Templeton Shootout-playing six holes of Modified Alternate shot, six holes of Better Ball and six holes of Scramble. Events will take place once a month May through October and points will be awarded which qualify players for unique prizes including the opportunity to have unprecedented access during the Franklin Templeton Shootout December 5-9, 2012. The series will feature both a Net and Gross division.
In addition to the Grand and Individual Event prizes (see below), each participant will receive a PGA TOUR Superstore $20 Gift Card and a 45 minute practice certificate at the PGA TOUR Superstore. To read about the Inaugural Shark Shootout Summer Series held in 2011, please click here. |
| Courses |
Tiburón Golf Club | | Designed by Greg Norman, Tiburón plays like a British Open links course, firm and fast. Home of the Franklin Templeton Shootout and certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, Tiburón reflects Norman’s appreciation for pristine, natural settings... and his passion for great golf. It boasts a unique combination of stacked sod wall bunkers, an absence of rough, spectacular green surrounds and devilishly tricky coquina shell waste areas. |
Pelican Preserve Golf Club | This player friendly course offers water, sand and
grass hollow hazards that are perfectly complemented by
generous landing areas and gently contoured TifEagle
“Ultradwarf” greens. With five sets of tees, players of all skill
levels will find the course both challenging and rewarding.
Pelican Preserve Golf Club, designed by Chip Powell, is
certified as an Audubon International Signature Cooperative
Sanctuary. | |
The Colony Golf & Country Club | | The Colony Golf & Country Club is an expansive
golf layout with naturally contoured, undulating fairways
sculpted through oak hammocks and marsh preserves.
Designed by golf legend Jerry Pate, The Colony sets the
standard for private clubs in Southwest Florida with its
plush clubhouse and dedication to service and hospitality. |
Raptor Bay Golf Club | Raptor Bay Golf Club sought the expertise of golf legend Raymond Floyd to design this 18-hole golf course. Fairways are very
wide and feature one height of cut throughout the course.
Surrounding the course are 22 acres of lakes and more than
200 acres of native vegetation and nature preserve areas,
giving some lucky guests a chance to glimpse a bald eagle or
gopher tortoise. | |
Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club | | Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club is located near
Marco Island, amidst the surrounding beauty of McIlvane
Bay and the Ten Thousand Islands. With an 18-hole golf
course by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy, Hammock Bay
brings a fresh, new approach to golf in the Naples area.
To bring forth the vision for the design, Jacobsen-Hardy focused on the careful placement of greens, tees and
bunkers within interesting dune vistas. The result is a truly
unique golf challenge. |
